Welcome to FARM DAY!!

We had a great time visiting Farm Animals while the FFA Club of Albertville High School brought the Farm to us!!  The students did a great job sharing their knowledge with our class and we really appreciated Mr. Golden and Mr. Aycock for allowing them to do this.  Both of my sons are in FFA and helped with this event.  Deric is a Junior and Devin is a Freshman.

The one on the left of the pig is Devin and his friend Tad is holding the pig.

GRANDPARENTS DAY in 2nd GRADE!!

READING around the Room!

As part of Daily 5 Reading, we have practiced Reading to Self and Reading to Someone. The children love Reading with a Buddy and  "hiding" anywhere in the Room as long as they are safe.  I have lots of rugs they pull out and place around the room to get nice and cozy.  This is going on while I pull small groups to my teacher table.  As they finish books, students are allowed to take AR Tests too.  Fluency only gets better with lots of PRACTICE and that is our Purpose!!!
